Owners of self-serve taprooms Hoppin’ and Pinhouse open The Studio, a self-pour concert venue.
Charlotte, N.C. (December 11, 2019) – The self-pour revolution gains traction in Charlotte with another unique self-serve venue, The Studio. iPourIt increases its lead in the market with the installation of the 27-tap self-serve beer wall using its technology to enhance attendees’ experience at The Studio, a concept opened by local operators Rick Moyer and Drew Nesemeier.
Vice President of iPourIt, Darren Nicholson, says, “Drew and Rich have been great partners to work with as this is the third project we have worked on together. As passionate entrepreneurs who recognize the value in self-pour technology, they are ideal operators in which iPourIt seeks to partner. They’ve successfully implemented the self-pour concept at Hoppin’ and Pinhouse, so we are excited to see both businesses grow as patrons start pouring at The Studio.”
Rich and Drew opened Hoppin’ in December 2017 and Pinhouse in July 2019. After seeing tremendous success with the self-serve concept and iPourIt technology, the two entrepreneurs launch their third self-serve bar using iPourIt beverage dispense technology at the concert venue on South Blvd. In the last year, Charlotte has become a hub for self-pour bar, Hoppin’ being the first self-pour taproom in the area. Although each location features a similar concept with self-pour taps, Drew and Rich have made each concept unique. The Studio, for instance, is not only a bar, but also a live music venue with a stage and industrial studio feel.
Charlotte is craft-beer-centric with new breweries opening every month. Rich and Drew recognize and share the love of craft beer, and their unique concepts give patrons total control over their drinking experience. The pour-your-own concept allows customers to make their own buying and pricing decisions, pour their own beverage, avoid long bar lines, and try a specialized offering of their choosing without having to purchase an entire pint.
The Studio is expected to open in January 2020.
